We understand there are many firms and consultants that can help with your talent management projects. That said, you can expect a number of key differences and benefits when working with our team.

Expert partners to enhance your efforts.

Our consultants have graduate degrees and advanced certifications, coupled with decades of practical experience in talent management. We keep up to date on the latest best practices and know how to implement these methods in ‘the real world’.

We are true long-term partners to our clients, working as an extension of your team to enhance your talent management function, save you time and effort, and fill a gap where your organization may not have in-house capacity or capabilities.

Large-firm experience, small-firm service.

Our unique structure and business model means we can handle projects of any size, expanding headcount as needed, whether it’s for a single assessment or a large-scale development program.

This allows us to work with organizations that typically contract to bigger firms, while providing the personalized attention and service of an independent consultant. It also ensures we can offer services at a reasonable cost (i.e., unlike a larger agency, we don’t have the overhead or relentless focus on maximizing billable hours).

Customized support.

There are many talent management platforms, assessments and other services on the market that provide a standard method for hiring, assessing and developing employees - many of which are designed to be used without much training or consideration for an organization’s unique needs and circumstances. Unfortunately, this means that organizations often end up with a generic ‘one size fits all’ approach that can’t sufficiently inform critical recruitment and development decisions.

Our needs evaluations and discussions with key stakeholders are an essential part of any client intervention, ensuring that we provide the most appropriate, impactful and cost-effective level of support. This gives us the ability to tailor programs to your specific needs and situation, including creating and administering custom programs and surveys that use your organization’s language and terminology.

Senior human resources specialists.

Rather than employing generalists or junior consultants, we work in cooperation with a range of experienced HR leaders and professionals. This includes senior practitioners with specific expertise in recruitment, development, assessment and competency modeling; and certified coaches and training providers like Haskayne Executive Education.

This means that we can ‘plug and play’ experts into our programs where there is a particular need, and ensure participants not only get a valid, targeted assessment and development plan, but also consult and discuss their specific needs with those who can offer the most relevant advice and support (e.g., a change management expert to help a participant foster buy-in for an innovative project).
